Soy Wax A464

A464 Soy Wax is a popular, all-natural soy wax blend specifically formulated for container candles. Produced from US-grown soybeans, it's a favored choice among candle makers for its balance of ease of use and performance.

Here's a breakdown of its key characteristics:

Type: Its natural soy wax blend.
Application: Primarily designed for container candles and tea lights. It is generally not suitable for pillar or freestanding candles due to its softer nature.
Appearance: Produces candles with a smooth, opaque, and creamy finish. It's formulated with soy-based additives to help reduce frosting (the white crystalline appearance common in soy wax) and promote good jar adhesion.

Melt Point: Approximately 45.0°C (113°F). Its lower melt point contributes to reduced shrinkage and helps it adhere well to containers.
Fragrance Throw: Known for offering an excellent hot and cold scent throw, allowing for a strong and consistent aroma.
It can typically hold a fragrance load of 8-10%, though individual testing with specific fragrance oils is always recommended.
Ease of Use: Considered forgiving and easy to work with, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced candle makers. It melts easily and integrates well with dyes and fragrance oils.
Clean Burning: Like most soy waxes, A464 burns cleanly with minimal soot, contributing to better indoor air quality.
Wicking: While specific wick recommendations vary based on container size and fragrance load.
A464 soy wax is a versatile and reliable option for creating high-quality, natural container candles with a desirable aesthetic and strong scent performance.
